GCA Tennis provide Tennis Coaching from Tennis Professionals with excellent skills and qualifications. Our coaches are all Blue Card holders and can coach tennis for all levels and age groups from 4+ to Adults.
Pee Wee and Tennis Classes Details
Hotshots is based on a ‘learning through play’ philosophy which means that playing the game of tennis is the central feature of each session. Smaller courts, racquets and softer tennis balls make it possible to develop children’s skills faster.
There are three stages which offer a clear pathway for learning the game of tennis:
RED: ages 5 – 8, played on quarter size courts with lower nets and 25% compression balls that bounce lower, slower and are much easier to hit.

The Pee Wee classes are numbered from PW1 through to PW4. These numbers relate to the 9 week term that the child is in and does not relate to the level of ability of the class. At the completion of 4 terms each child graduates irrespective of ability.
Tennis classes are numbered from T1 through to T6. These numbers relate to the level of ability of the class. A child graduates to the next level by passing a series of tests in the level that they are working at, in 4th term
The duration of the tennis class lessons is dependant on the class availability at the time, and the requirements of the parents with regards to them being able to get their child to the class
Classes will either consist of:
Elite Squad Blue: This squad is aimed at players who are interested in competing in tournaments at national and international level. The 9 week plan includes:
Elite Squad Red: This squad is aimed at players who are interested in competing in regional and state a tournaments and are there to have fun and enjoy the game. The 9 week plan includes:
Junior Development Squad: This squad is aimed at intermediate players who are looking improve their skill level and compete in regional tournaments. The 9 week plan includes:
Intermediate Squad: This squad is aimed at intermediate players who are competing in fixture competitions and are starting to compete in regional tournaments. The Intermediate Squad includes:
Note: You can choose to only do Tuesdays or Thursday or you can do both.
Beginner Squad: This squad is aimed at beginner players who are starting to compete in fixture competitions. The Beginner Squad includes:

When a child is considered ready, they will be invited to play club fixtures. For the beginners and intermediate players, fixtures are held on Saturday morning. For the more advanced player, Fixtures are held on Saturday afternoon.
Any student competing in Fixtures will be required to join the club. This is not very expensive, and offers the student very cheap rates for practicing, and the ability to play in club competitions. Consult the office for a hand out sheet detailing all of the club activities.
Any student enrolled into coaching here at GCA is required to pay a $28.00 membership fee to support the club and help us take part in future endeavors.
