Frequently Asked Questions

What happens if its raining on the day of the lesson / match?

GCA Tennis do our best to keep all players, students and families aware of the constant changing weather conditions. Generally we will send out a Group Text to all persons concerned with the upcoming Matches, Tournament or Squad lessons and advise you ASAP to whether we will conduct the session or it will be cancelled. Make up lessons are available for rain out lessons. Generally competition matches will roll over to the following week for completion depending on how many matches are started or if no play was started on the day.

How do I book a Tennis Court?

Tennis court hire may be booked by calling us 5576 2522 or using our Online Booking system. After hours bookings can be made as you will receive a pin code for the gate access and lights will automatically come on after dark for your court hire.

Do I have to be a member to play at GCA Tennis?

No, you do not need to be a member at GCA Tennis to play. Social players welcome however discount tennis court hire are avail for our members. GCA cost and pricing can be seen here.

Do tennis lessons continue over the school holidays? 

No, our group coaching lessons and squads commence and finish at the beginning and end of each 10 week school term. During the school holidays we do however encourage the children to come along and join our school holiday tennis camp.

When are the school holiday camps? 

At GCA Tennis we conduct our school holiday camps during the first week of every school holidays and you can register your children online on our website under our bookings tab.

How can I organise private coaching?

If you are interested in private coaching we would be more than happy to arrange a coach for you if you reach out to us by emailing us at admin@gcatennis.com.au or calling us at 5576 2522 with the following information.

  • Day: What day of the week? (Ex. Every Monday, Any Day During the Week)
  • Frequency: How many times per week? (Ex. Twice a Week)
  • Time: What time of day/night? (Ex. Anytime after 5pm, Between 7:30am – 10:30am)
  • Duration: How long would you like the lesson for? (Ex. 30 Minutes, 1 Hour, 1.5 Hours)

When are invoices sent for each term? 

Our invoices are sent out 2 weeks prior to the term commencing.

Do I have to re – enrol my child each term? 

No, in the hope to make our processes as user friendly and convenient as possible, the children are automatically re enrolled each term to make sure they’re secured a position in the exact same class for the following term.
